What we store
Your email address, the name you give us, the tenancy details you enter, and the photographs and notes you upload. We do not ask for your bank details, your passport or your right-to-rent documents.
Who can see your evidence
Only you. Your photographs sit in private storage scoped to your account, and our database rules prevent any other account from reading your rooms, photos or interim entries. We do not sell data and we do not share your evidence with landlords, agents or deposit schemes unless you export and send it yourself.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account is open, because deposit disputes can begin more than a year after move-in. You can delete individual photographs or entries at any time, and deleting your account removes your stored evidence.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email privacy@mytenancyfile.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
