What MyTenancyFile is

MyTenancyFile is a record-keeping tool. It helps you capture, timestamp and organise photographic evidence about a property you rent, and to export that evidence as a condition report. It does not represent you, negotiate for you or decide the outcome of a deposit dispute.

Not legal advice

Guidance in the app, including any AI-drafted dispute letter, is general information only. It is not legal advice and it is not a substitute for advice from a solicitor, Citizens Advice or your deposit scheme. You are responsible for what you send to a landlord, agent or adjudicator.

Your account

You must give accurate details and keep your sign-in secure. One account is for one renter. You keep ownership of the photographs and notes you upload, and you grant us only the permission needed to store them and produce your reports.

Accuracy of records

Timestamps record when a photograph was added to your file. You must not upload material that misrepresents the condition of a property. Deliberately misleading evidence may cause us to close your account.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service available and to give reasonable notice of material changes to features or pricing. Existing exported reports remain yours regardless of changes to your plan.
